UGH!

my computer is down AGAIN! i am so frustrated with it. i want to throw it in my driveway and run it over but then i would really be up a creek! so hopefully it will be up and running by Monday and i will get back to blogging.

in the mean time i have John's laptop but only in the evenings and there is lots to do in so little time.

tomorrow i am going out of town for one night with some ladies from M.O.P.S. for a summit. i can not wait, i need a getaway even if only for a little over 24 hours. i am excited to go to my favorite restaurant, Cheesecake Factory!

Another Busy Weekend

so i am cooking up a storm, ok not so much cooking prepping i guess. my friend Tara asked me to prepare the food for her son's Wyatt's 2nd birthday party it has been so fun also a little stressful not cooking for my own family is kind of nerve racking because what if everyone hates it!?

i have been taking pictures of everything and i should have a ton of recipes for my cooking blog this week. actually i have TONS of pictures of food i just need to post them. i am not sure why i procrastinate on that.

John, Liz, and David are out of town at a swim meet today. they are actually spending the night in a tent tonight! I am sure David is beyond excited, i hope they have a great time. and that Liz and David do well!

Tonight i hope to get something productive done since it will just be Jake and i. Johnathan is going to spend the night with my mom. i am thinking of organizing something or just sitting and doing nothing, maybe renting a movie. we will see which wins =)

so i hope to update how the food went later today. wish me luck

Busy Weekend

so busy it is Wednesday and i have not posted about it.

Friday John took the boys to walking with the dinosaurs, they had SO much fun! While they were at the show i took Liz and Jake to the mall, we had dinner at Red Robin and Liz got to spend her birthday money. it was a fun time and John said we need to do things like this more often.

 

Saturday John worked on our room renovation! pictures coming when we get a little more progress done. I got some stuff done for Easter and the kids had practice for Easter service.

Sunday was Easter and we went to service and the kids performed it was really good and they liked doing it. Later that day we went to my sister in laws house for a family get together. it was a really good day.

 

i will get back to my normal posting tomorrow, i am tired and need to go to sleep.

Answered Prayers

yesterday we had our annual M.O.P.S. Easter egg hunt and my kids were so looking forward to it. so when i heard on the news it was supposed to rain i was really bummed. we got up and there was no rain and we proceeded with getting everything ready and going to the park. the clouds started getting dark and i told the kids it may not happen. they were all a little bummed. it then started to very lightly sprinkle and the kids and i decided we should pray. Liz and Johnathan prayed and literally after we all said amen the clouds broke and the sun started shining.

it was so neat to be able for the kids to see tat God cares about all those things and he has control over it all. We had such a fun time and the kids were so excited. God is so good.

the whole thing actually spoke to me to, i mean how often do i hold onto things or not pray about things because they seem to large when all i have to say is here father it is in your hands please help me and he will! and not always in the way i expect but he is always listening to those prayers and knows if i need to see the clouds break or huddle closer to him in the storm

Connect Four Anyone?

Johnathan LOVES connect four he got it for Liz for her birthday and turns out he is like a connect four hustler lol. he can beat his big brother and sister almost every single time. tonight John and i took turns playing him and he whooped us!

John and i said we need to get him to learn chess because he is like strategic the whole time.

David kept asking if he could swim and of course when i gave in and said whatever his younger brother jumped in to

our pool was just being filled and then all these stinkin leaves blew in it so ignore the mess it looks normal now. anyhow it was freezing of course and hopefully they wont be asking for a month or so.

there sister didn't want to jump in i am not sure why.....

Spring Break Day 1

today was the first day of spring break and it was a fun day! a friend from my mops group Amanda called me last week and invited the kids and i over for a party. the kids had a blast as did i!!!

she had a bounce house for the kids, bubbles, side walk chalk, toys etc. she ordered pizza for the kids, and a huge subway sandwich for the moms along with desserts. the weather was great, it was supposed to be like 92 degrees but was nice and breezy. but the GREATEST part of the day you ask?!?!?!

she hired two masseuses to come and give the moms massages! it was fabulous! what a treat

and Jake had fun dressing up lol

Thanks Amanda for a great day! it was the best time and a great way to start a week!

2 minutes until midnight!

my computer keeps shutting off on me today so i didn't get my daily blog in until now. i was afraid to start it and then it would shut off and i would have thrown it in to the half filled pool.

our pool is almost full it only took 4 days to fill UGH! so now we just have to wait like a month for the water to warm up.

yesterday i got up and went to some yard sales and there wasn't much that interested me but i got a great set of stainless pots and pans for $10! i have been wanting new pots and pans and stainless but they are so pricey so i was so blessed to get these. i will show you pics later my camera causes the computer to shut down at the moment. John started working on our room (our current room is the converted garage) i am so excited to have a bedroom soon. in the evening we had family over for a BBQ for Liz's birthday it was fun times...

today we went to church and it was SO good! sometimes i think we are at a disadvantage because we go to such a huge church (our church is like 8000+ people) but today God showed me how extremely lucky i am, to worship in a room with 3500 at the same time is amazing! our pastor gave a awesome service about loving people that was encouraging and convicting in such a loving way though. i realized the things i complain about from time to time are so not important in the grand scheme of things. after church i took a great nap which just about means a great day for me!

this week is spring break so all the kids will be home i hope we get to have some fun!

These are a few of my favorite things.....

well i am in my 14th week of pregnancy and it feels like i am 20 since i have known for so long. but this is honestly the best part of pregnancy i don't have to take a nap every day (although i still love naps, just don't require them). i don't gets cravings persay but there is many things i love at the moment!

1. sweet tea- i love it! i make it all the time and i can drink it all day. although this is the first pregnancy that i really like water. i am not much of a water drinker and have to force myself to drink it.

2. I LOVE pizza, i mean really i could have it every day. (although i don't because i cant not afford to gain much weight AT all!) anyhow.... but it has to have mushrooms, fresh ones not canned and pepperoni loooooove it!

3. cantaloupe, Albertsons had them on sale for 25 cents a pound a few weeks ago and i think i bought like 20 that week! my kids love it to so between the 5 of us could eat 2 at a time!

4. and lastly! i don't know where they sell these air head extremes but don't tell me because i may buy the supply but i LOVE these air heads extremes! i have only had strawberry so i am not sure i would like the others but these are GREEEEAT!

Spring Break!

so today the kids had there last day of school and now they are off for a week! they are so excited, as am i because i will be sleeping in ALL week!!! So today they had what they called a survivor-thon instead of a jog-a-thon and it was a big hit! all the classes represented different places around the world and it was So cute!

Johnathan was so funny he could not wait to go down as you can tell he is not even with his class he is a step ahead. they were Australia and won best dressed and they deserved it they did a lot of work to look that cute!

David's class was the Scotland bravehearts and here is David and his buddies in there "manskirts" as they call them. ha bet they will love that in like 10 years

ouch.....

Johnathan fell today and hit his head at school. really hard. Johnathan can normally shake things off but today when i picked him up from school he said it was hurting but as soon as i started driving he started saying he had to throw up and kept dozing off so i called his doctor and they said since he fell on concrete i needed to bring him in. so off to the doctor we went then to get X-rays. everything ended up being fine thank God but it was kind of scary especially while at the doctors office because we could not get him to stay awake.

Poor guy and it looked worse in real life than in these pictures!!! he is back to his normal self tongiht though
